How To Build Your Own Website

The internet has become the number one resource for just about everybody, so it’s an absolutely essential piece of kit for any business owner these days. Getting online doesn’t have to cost a fortune, especially when you take advantage of discount voucher codes.

Long gone are the days of spending hundreds or thousands of pounds on a professionally built website. Here’s my guide to getting your business online quickly, easily, but most importantly, cheaply.

1. Domain name
The domain name is the website address, for example, myfavouritevouchercodes.co.uk. Ideally, you want to use your business name or some keywords related to it, for your domain name, but you might have to try a few alternatives as what you want might not be available.

Keep the following things in mind when you’re registering your domain:
  • Make sure it’s easy to remember
  • Purchase both .co.uk and .com so that potential customers can find you easily
  • If your business name has a common misspelling, make sure you buy that one too.

2. Web hosting
Once you have a domain name you will need somewhere for your website to live. A business website is like a shop window, so if choosing a domain is the equivalent of choosing a business name then signing up to a webhost is the same as renting a shop in the real world.

Some website builders, such as Moonfruit and 1and1, offer complete packages for convenience, so you don’t have to worry about purchasing a domain independently or finding a suitable web host.

3. Design
There are loads of website builders around these days, so even the biggest technophobes can get online. These editors are referred to as WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) as you simply point and click. You don’t need any coding or design experience to create one of these websites, it’s as easy as editing a text document or image.

4. Finding your business on Google
Once your site is ready, you need to think about how your potential customers will find it. Think about how you would start if you were looking for a particular service – probably a search engine.

Your first job then is to make sure that they know you exist, by submitting your URL to Google and Bing, or any other search engines.

There are other ways to advertise too, things like Facebook and Twitter are fast-becoming one of the preferred ways for customers to get in touch. By increasing your online presence, more people will be able to find you and buy from you.

Galaxy S4 Disappoints – Top Alternatives & Voucher Codes

The Samsung Galaxy S4 was revealed last week to a blaze fanfare and hype, but now the dust has settled the cracks are beginning to show.

This latest model was supposed to be the best attempt at an iPhone-killer, but seems to be no more than the Galaxy S3 with the added bonus of being able to scroll through emails with your eyes.

Despite the negativity now surrounding Samsung’s latest offering, Carphone Warehouse has claimed that the pre-orders are “off the charts”.

If you thought that the S4 was a disappointment or think your cash could be better spent elsewhere, take a look at these top alternatives and the voucher codes that could help you make some big savings.

iPhone 5
The most obvious challenger to Samsung is Apple’s iPhone. Although it is expected that a new model will be revealed in the near future, the iPhone 5 is still big enough to compete. The S4 beats the iPhone in terms of features, but the rest is up for grabs, particularly the software, with iOS being a firm favourite with Apple fans.

It might be a surprise to see a Sony handset in this list of Galaxy S4 competitors, but this snazzy new (and waterproof!) smartphone is a real competitor. With a 5 inch display, quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 13 megapixel camera and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, it’s one of the most underrated smartphones currently available.

HTC One
Since the early success of the Desire, HTC has struggled to make the same inroads into the smartphone industry as Samsung. However, one of its new releases, the HTC One has received praise from even its harshest critics, particularly for its all-metal construction, 1080p resolution and substantial internal storage.

Samsung Galaxy S3
There is a concern that the Galaxy S4’s predecessor, the S3 could get left behind in all the hype over Samsung’s latest release, but it’s still a decent phone. In fact, it could still blow away most of its competitors. So, what the difference? Well, it’s slightly smaller, faster and has a couple of snazzy features, but if cost-cutting is your priority, the S3 is the best bet.

Voucher Codes For Cheap iPhone

Whether you like it or not, tech is a part of everyday life, from switching off your alarm in the morning to checking your emails before going to bed. For some this is where tech ends, it’s a necessity. For others, like me, you simply can’t get enough of it.

Unfortunately, getting your hands on the latest tech can be pretty expensive. This is one of the reasons I’ve started up this blog - to track down the top tech voucher codes and help you get the best swag for less.

First off, I’m going to take a look at one piece of tech that nearly everyone has… a mobile phone.

Let’s start with the iPhone. It’s always essential to get a good price for anything bearing the Apple logo as within 6 months you’ll be out of date. I don’t know about you, but I can’t afford to shell out hundreds of pounds on the latest iPhone every year or two.

Fortunately, I’ve managed to hunt down a few mobile phone voucher codes that will help you get the holy grail of smartphones for less.

Get a free iPhone 5 when you take out a £33 per month contract with One Stop Phone Shopvoucher codes.

If you’d rather keep costs down by opting for the iPhone 4S – I mean how different is it really? – then check out Sweatband voucher codes.

Not everyone is an Apple fan. Me included if I’m honest, but I won’t get too wrapped up in the Apple vs. Rest Of The World debate just yet.

The AndroidOS has really taken off in the past couple of years, with smartphones available for less than £100.

Asda MobilePhone voucher codes are great if you’re on a tight budget, but still want to be able to crack the next level of Angry Birds. You can get the Samsung Galaxy Ace from £21 per month or the Galaxy Mini 2 for just £20 a month – bargain!

It doesn’t matter whether you are searching for the latest models topping trends on Twitter or something practical, you can save cash by buying with mobile phone voucher codes.

Keep up to date with my new blog if you’re interested in getting state of the art gizmos and gadgets without breaking the bank.
